The Bible can be difficult to understand particularly when we are faced with a variety of different translations. However, if we accept it as the Word of God, read it prayerfully and try to think about what it is telling us, then we will begin to understand the character of Jesus and the part he plays in God’s plan. Proverbs 25 v 2 reminds us that it is a privilege to search the scriptures for an understanding of God’s purpose.

The Bible claims to be the source of information about God and His purpose in creating this universe with us on the earth. But to be convinced of the truth of what we find written there we need some proof that it is not a possible composition of men.
