This week we looked at Genesis chapter 6 and talked about the things that were happening on the earth prior to the flood.

Genesis: Chapter 5

We also talked about the lifespan of the first descendants of Adam. It was interesting to see that Adam lived for 930 years and saw the birth of Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah and Lamech. Adam also saw many of his descendants choosing to follow their own way rather than the way of God.

This chapter tells us about the descendants of Adam and Eve and the problems that they experienced. It also tells us about the offerings that they brought to God and how some offerings were acceptable to God and others were not.

The Roman authorities had a problem. The apostle Paul had upset the Jewish leaders to the point that they wanted him executed. But he was a Roman citizen and entitled to a fair hearing, if necessary, before Caesar himself.
